This is the first project completed by the  IBAVI (Balearic Social Housing Institute) that continues the research of Reusing Posidonia in Formentera, in this case adapted to the resource map of Mallorca. Located in the Son Gotleu neighbourhood, which began to be developed in 1943, the original urban fabric combined closed block typologies with dground floor  and flat with a patio dwellings between dividing walls with isolated single-family dwellings.

During the 1960s, in order to house workers from the mainland who were building hotels, these dwellings were replaced by blocks along the lines of the modern movement, built as cheaply as possible and which, over time, have become a focus of social conflict. In fact, Son Gotleu is one of Palma's neighbourhoods with the highest index of social vulnerability and concentration of people with few economic resources.

The project recovers and makes visible one of the best features of the neighbourhood: the small houses between dividing walls built with sandstone, which reveal the resource map of the place, which is once again economically viable in the 21st century thanks to the thermal and acoustic requirements of the CTE and the different European directives: the climatic emergency makes it possible to return to using those systems that would have avoided the climatic crisis. The building is energy class A, and DHW is produced by means of collective aerothermal pumps located on the roof, supported by a battery of photovoltaic panels.
