The project for the dwellings took into consideration their future existence on a flat terrain, on the slightly elevated edge of the urban centre of Rubí de Bracamonte. From the idea, attention was paid to the capacity of the humblest rural architecture as a creator of images, often reviled by modern architecture but, in any case, valuable from the intellectual appreciation of the elemental in the context, in the construction and in the inhabiting.

Being public housing, the programme was absolutely conditioned by dimensional guidelines.
