Located on the promenade of Los Llanos de Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife, between the Maritime Park and the edge of the harbour, the auditorium connects the city with the ocean and creates an important urban landmark.

The concrete building is characterised by its spectacular roof. The roof, which rises from the base like a wave, reaches a height of 58 metres above the main auditorium before curving downwards and tapering to a point. The plinth of the building forms a public square that covers the site and allows for changes in elevation between the different levels of the adjacent roads.
