The site was of large dimensions with irregularities in its contours. It was located at the rear of the old court building, the entrance to which would also be used by new users. It was thought that for any building for judicial use, a maximum separation of the public from the case, judges, magistrates, defendants, etc., was desirable.

The building is organised in three towers and a large hall on the ground floor. The upper floors are occupied by the court secretaries and their corresponding judges' offices, while the ground floor is reserved for the courtrooms, thus achieving independence of use (operation).

The third of the towers is used as a magistracy with a separate entrance, due to the large number of visitors. The basements house other court rooms, the archives and car parks.

III BEAU

The movement of the detainees is completely independent of that of the judges and takes place in the cellars. Judges have direct access to their chambers via lifts. The gpolice court is built on a corner of the site with complete independence. The whole is harmonious and pleasant to use.
