A garden stages fragments of nature with its own laws in a delimited and measurable space. On a piece of land that is a product of history, between the old cart track that used to lead from Olot to Santa Maria de Olot. Pau and the new road for cars covering the same route, the reception and access area to the Fageda de Jordà - a beech forest located at an exceptional height (500-600 m.) above sea level due to its particular orography and volcanic subsoil - is planned in the heart of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

A parking area, a forest as a recreation area, a meeting point and the volcanic garden: a set of terraces of volcanic scoria of different colours and sizes descending like lava, from a culminating point of dominion over the Fageda, a labyrinth of light and shadow.

The lintel-roof is suspended over two elements that open and close to house toilets, a bar, a storeroom and an information point. Two materials, wood and steel, covered in rust and black like masses of slag, lying on a stony, almost basaltic floor.
