There was a clear desire on the part of the client for total independence. It was then decided to create an enclosure, a Hortus conclusus. It starts from a square of 18 x 18 m defined by four 3.5 m high walls, which is divided into three equal parts. Only the central part is covered. Divided transversely into three parts of proportions A, 2A, A by two low walls of 2 m in height, the sides include the server parts. The roof of the central space is made higher, 4.5 m high. At the points where the low walls intersect with the high walls, four 2 x 2 m openings are opened, which are directly glazed. Through these four openings, the horizontal plane of the stone floor expands, thus achieving an effective indoor-outdoor continuity.
The white colour in all parameters contributes to the clarity and continuity of this architecture. The double symmetry of the composition is evident in the symmetrical placement of the four lemon trees, which produce specular effects. The light in this house is horizontal and continuous, reflected in the walls of the east-west facing courtyards. In short, it is a horizontal, continuous space, stretched by horizontal light.
