The Mercer Hotel is located in the old city, taking care not to do without structural elements and ensuring that demolitions are carried out where they do not damage the vestiges of the past.

A glazed courtyard provides the link between the buildings on Calle Lledó and those on the wall. The courtyard enhances the public spaces on the ground floor, while the rooms follow the layout of the existing walls. A light gunite over the factories evens them out and helps the intervention to keep alive the testimony of the different interventions over time.
