The building corresponds to the central module, the largest, which is separated from the other two by narrow courtyards opening onto Wellington Street, in which coloured sunshades have been placed to force a dialogue between the pieces and visually animate these connective areas, while at the same time acting as a sunscreen.

The block is made up of three buildings dedicated to research and creates a unitary set of modules with their differentiated images. The new building has a double-skin façade facing the Parc de la Ciutadella. The external casing, made of white lacquered aluminium, leaves large rectangular openings that allow a view and, at the same time, protect and soften the strong sunlight.

These spaces are free of the usual details, corresponding to the windows that are hidden behind them. This mask provides the building with an unalterable envelope of light and plays with the red and green filtering elements of the open courtyards between modules. Towards the interior street, the façade is resolved in a more conventional way, with large windows, the orientation of which does not require special solar protection, and modular aluminium composite elements, also lacquered in white.
