The project is the result of a participatory, shared diagnostic process aimed at rethinking the spaces on the Eskoriatza campus at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences at Mondragon University.

It is a cross-cutting project that seeks to spatialise specific characteristics and present and future needs (for teaching, relationships and emotional) of this community: the faculty.

The project maintains the concrete structure of the Dorleta building, whose 11 m cross-span is suitable for multi-purpose learning spaces, to which a new 6 m central corridor is added. With this addition, the old building becomes a sort of adaptable classroom, as the new corridor absorbs traffic and the informal activities of its users' learning processes.

The flexibility required by the new teaching proposals makes it necessary to try out new types of classrooms. These spaces are defined here as flexible learning areas: relatively unfinished, with installations on the ceilings, where most of the devices that guarantee their adaptability to the pedagogical-evolutionary processes are located.
