It is a slightly sloping plot, occupied by holm oaks, elms, ashes, acacias, prunus, plane trees, pines, privets and laurels. All naturally hatched with the mediation of birds coming from neighbouring plots. All of them, with the perimeter of their crowns, are measured and laid out on a plan. Le Corbusier wanted the empty courtyard of La Tourette, which is still empty today, to be naturally populated by vegetation, wind and birds. Le Corbusier left a void in his architecture for nature to fill, he said.
We say that this project is born in opposition to that idea. It is nature that leaves us a gap and there, and only there, we populate it with something that is architecture because it is artificial. On the other hand, we agree with La Tourette that camouflage has never been sought, nor integration, nor anything organic. It is the way it is because it cannot be otherwise and It adapts so much that it is pure contradiction; In Italy some of his motorway bridges are painted sky blue. It is a naïve camouflage that only on very certain days and very certain moments comes true, but on the days when we find it most beautiful is when we can see the trick and it is a blue opposite to the background.

The plot is already clogged with something that we want to preserve and the only option left is to fill in the remaining gaps between the existing trees, of which we don't want to touch a single one, but not a hair's breadth, however small they may be. We have imposed respect on them maniacally. The house is housed below two platforms that seek to elevate views over nature to the western skies. Downstairs, the views of the house are, in return, of the start of nature.
