The building, which will house a sports centre and a lecture hall, is planned for the campus of the Francisco de Vitoria University in Pozuelo (Madrid). The former will include sports courts, multi-purpose rooms, gymnasium, swimming pool, physiotherapy, etc. The sports centre space can also be used as a large multi-purpose hall and meeting room, related to university activities. A sober building is proposed that is volumetrically adapted to the general layout of the campus in terms of maximum heights and alignments. And a clear differentiation in terms of volume and façade material is proposed between sports and educational use. Thus, the fundamental element of the project is a large translucent, sieved and controlled light box, which can enter into a spatial relationship with the central plaza of the campus.

The structure of the pavilion is made of steel: a grid of pillars and beams on the façades and trusses to resolve the large roof spans. The rest of the structure will be made of reinforced concrete, with the singularity of large-edged beams over the space of the swimming pools on which the supports of the lecture hall will rest.
