Perhaps this is the right time to ask what the character of the campus should be... Perhaps now is the time to prepare the way in which the university community identifies with a specific spatial organisation... The vitality of the different faculties makes it necessary to redefine the qualities of this place and how they are projected into the future.

We propose to work along two paths, perhaps apparently opposed, because they will allow the two qualities that already exist in that place to be valued. First, to emphasise the natural character of this site: a superb location, the small inland valleys, the topography... This requires coordination between the different operations already underway: a new perimeter access belt, car parks, extensions to each faculty, integrated services, reforestation, a global proposal for water collection, etc. This is a medium-term project that must restore the natural landscape characteristics of this site.

Students should be able to take advantage of its scenic character: silence, concentration, intensity of personal work in an ideal place for this to take place. At the same time, and this is the second proposal, in the shorter term, the new buildings insist on defining the community character of university life. In the short term, density, quasi-urban. In the medium term, redefinition of the landscape. Thus, this first intention is working in both directions....

Transformation of the large sports area into a wooded area, defined by a large lake, blurring the access infrastructures to the point of transforming the entrance street into a passage through the trees, and then making the new series of buildings (student facilities, commercial areas, swimming pool, gymnasiums, etc.) into a series of community places (squares) supported by some of the existing buildings.
