A preliminary project for a building for the Museum of Contemporary Art

This is a project I did in Rome during my internship and as work for the Academy. I have to point out that it has quite a few gaps, some of which I can see, others which you will point out to me. The decisive factor in this project was the location, which was a real site, on the land now occupied by the Museum of Natural Sciences and the School of Industrial Engineers of Madrid.

In my opinion, the Paseo de la Castellana, which is the most relevant and most graceful and beautiful thoroughfare in the capital, should house all the museums, and just as the Prado Museum and the National Library, with its collection of museums, are already there, the Museum of Modern Art has a very definite location on this site. The Museum I have planned is for all artistic manifestations, such as, for example, craft and industrial ones that have some contact with art; thus, within a modulation that at first seems rigid, a great elasticity is achieved for all the exhibitions I am talking about.
