    1. The connection to a configured urban structure that conditions the building and the urban tension that the building provokes in the surroundings.

    2. The issue of the roof, a unique factor in this type of building.

    These three points have the common denominator of large dimensions. We are talking about a building capable of holding 12,500 spectators, with dimensions of 150 m long and 100 m wide. A symbolic and representative building that could fit the concept of a sports cathedral, in the sense of a main place for a certain activity, which in this case will be the practice and vision of top-level basketball.

    The result is a very precise building, simple despite its large size and which appears with great formal autonomy, but which at the same time acquires a capacity for urban insertion and gives meaning to a specific situation in the city.
