Expansion of the teaching facilities of the "Escola Gavina" consisting of the construction of a pavilion in which all kinds of multitudinous events (assemblies, parties, theatrical and musical performances, etc.

) can be held, in addition to the ordinary use as a sports court. The programme is completed with a music room and a psychomotricity room. The existing main building dates from 1980 and is the work of the architect Manuel Portaceli. It is a quadrangular prism with the porticoed structure marking the composition, the volume is partially emptied while preserving the structure, a solution reminiscent of Terragni's work in Como (Italy). The composition of the new building reinterprets the key features of the original with different constructive solutions: a quadrangular prism with a concrete wall structure, resolving the voids (which correspond to the entrances) with cantilevers of these walls without the structure remaining in place. The planned building is located in the free part of the plot, to the west, and with the redesign of the accesses and circulations it seeks to generate a new central wooded space between the original building and the planned one.
