In the first case, an attempt is made to merge the other volume of the library with that of later buildings. This Purpose is xxx...in the ground plan by defining its limit with a rhomboid geometry that completes the volume initiated by these buildings; with this operation the library faces the great open surface that the Plaça Lesseps means from the scale and protection provided by the volume formed by the aforementioned buildings.

In the second case, the opening of this green corridor, to the north of Plaza Lesseps, has been understood as a public axis that expresses and reflects the singular topography on which this part of the city sits (mountainside, green mixed with construction), of which the square is precisely the end or the beginning.

It could be said that the mountains (Collserola) reach as far as Lesseps and from here the city has a different consistency, more linked to the layout of the streets than to the topography or the slope. Expressing this mountain-city boundary condition of Plaça Lesseps has led us to configure the library volumetrically, almost like a building that - coming from Collserola - is situated above the City with the attributes of the mountains.
