The section of Avinguda de la Diagonal that crosses the 22@ District - an area of reinvention of the city linked to new technologies - is marked by a sequence that, with the well-known silhouette of the Agbar Tower as a backdrop, begins at the new headquarters of the Mediapro communications group.

Because of its location, the design of the new building takes special account of the characteristics of the urban environment, and its volume has been modelled according to alignments and visual guidelines. Thus, the main headwall has been rotated to present a front façade to the avenue; the first four floors have been perforated to offer an exit to Bolivia Street and focus its perspective; and at the lower level, the tower deviates from the edge of the plot to generate a new plane that opens up the views of the adjoining building.

These operations give the volume a sculptural air, intensified by the cantilever of the tower and its resulting edge, and by the horizontal body, with its transparent façade embracing the new triangular square. Due to its open-plan design, the office tower offers great flexibility of use thanks to the absence of pillars or intermediate structures. The configuration of the different floors is different, which allows for a certain functional specialisation of the programmes, beyond the fundamental separation between the horizontal body, which houses audiovisual production and teaching, and the tower where the business management areas are located.

The versatility of the interior layout is also supported by the use of a single, repeated window pattern, developed in continuity on all facades, which provides good lighting and views of the city from any point in the tower. The glass inside the grid prevents glare and is protected from direct sunlight, water and dirt.
