1º. Because of the general composition, the subjection to the climatic conditions, the right character and the low budget, we have decided to choose the work of Mr. Aníbal Álvarez "Project for an open-air cinematograph", whose solution is the most in keeping with the spirit of the rules, as we understand it.
The solution achieved is typical, because even if it is objected that the conditions are particular, or that the open-air operation is very limiting, such objections are irrelevant for certain regions and certainly do not diminish the advantages of the project. Its budget of 50,147 pesetas is ample for its complex realisation.
The arrangement of its services and the composition of its details, as well as the whole, are well thought out. The remaining projects are further away from the standards that would make their realisation advisable. They do not offer the solution in indoor cinema distribution. The floor plan in any "cinema" is imposed by the spectators' visuals; but this being the case, this other imposition arises immediately: to obtain an elongated hall whose width does not make it too expensive to cover. According to these premises, the form of the "cinema" would be marked by three volumes: hall, entrance, services.
