The joint project for the Europa-Feria, Parque Logístico and Mercabarna stations on Line 9 is a proposal that, with the minimum of resources, takes maximum advantage of the conditions inherent to an underground construction.

We want a space that is more geological than built, following the classic logic that the "site", in the deepest sense of the term, is fundamental in the resolution of any architectural programme. It is therefore proposed to use as few materials as possible, prioritising those already present in the civil-structural work, such as screen walls, construction props, prefabricated slabs, etc.

The materials used in the work are: the exposed concrete slabs, the visible installations, the large panels of acoustic material attached to the slabs, the screen walls, the sheet metal cladding, porcelain flooring, industrial-artistic lighting that takes different forms: linear, spotlights, etc., the metal railings and glass lifts, the prefabricated benches, TMB's own furniture: ticket machines, ticket barriers, indicator signs.

A further thematic issue of the project is the requirement to close the platform tracks with gates. This is integrated as a positive element in the overall composition of the proposal. The enclosure is total and the project also becomes an exercise in façades, entire façades that seek an absolute domination of the sections.
