The competition consisted of the design of a pier for the disembarkation of commuter passengers and, above it, a building to house a kiosk and waiting shade. A splendid opportunity to explore the two extremes of the construction most closely linked to the sea: the execution of the dock and its platform with civil engineering techniques and that of a small construction carried out with the material quality, fit and precision typical of the best naval architecture.

It is first built with large masses of concrete and stone, with earthworks, with underwater anchorages. It is then built dry, as if it were a boat, with wood and metal, assembling, fitting, screwing, etc. An asymmetrical pier is proposed that faces in a specific direction and allows the presence of boats to avoid obstructing views from the building.
