The station building is built on the trackbed, giving it the appearance of a terminus station. The better functional scheme that this type of station provides justifies this decision, from which a certain metaphor or analogy of movement and arrival becomes apparent.

The six well-differentiated bays that house the platforms are joined into a single transversal space from which there is communication with the vestibule and the entrance canopy. To reinforce this spatial sequence, light is brought in in different ways, supported by a system of differentiated roofs that never reveal their structural solution. It is therefore a building made up of areas of very diverse character - vaults over the platforms, a sloping roof or the flat roof of the lobby, which defines a prismatic area inside a building so expressive of movement - which is given a unitary character through the treatment of light, the choice of materials or the layout of the spaces in a transversal direction to the travellers' routes.
