III BIAU

III BIAU

The 3rd Biennial of Architecture and Civil Engineering represents a new opportunity to think about architecture.

At a time when the quantitative sometimes prevails over the purely architectural, this Biennial is like a breath of fresh air that can, even if only for a short time, reverse the terms. The aim of the selected architectures, publications and research projects is to reflect on the space that people inhabit, its places and scenarios of change, in order to provide a committed response to the reality of a specific space and time.

Our society lives a frenetic pace in which many of the moments we could spend reflecting on our environment are being lost. We live immersed in landscapes, we pass through them every day, but we are not aware of the process of transformation that is exerted on our habitat. Looking through these instruments is not an act that should remain an inventory of images.

Architectures have an obvious cultural and social content that help us to understand the different landscapes of the 21st century as areas for the creation of an individual and collective promise.
