Preliminary project for the completion of the Almudena church in Madrid

ORDER of 23 November 1944 resolving the National Architecture Competition for the current year.

"Hon. Having regard to the file on the resolution of the National Architecture Competition corresponding to the current year, and Whereas by Ministerial Order of 11 March last, rectified by that of 15 March of the same month, the aforementioned National Competition was announced, the theme of which was a preliminary project for the completion of the Church of La Almudena in Madrid, with a prize of 23,000 pesetas being offered.it turns out that, after the corresponding processing, the Jury, made up of Mr. Modesto López Otero, Mr. Pedro Muguruza Otaño and Mr. Aurelio Colmenares, unanimously agreed to propose awarding the announced prize of 23,000 pesetas to the work authored by Mr. Carlos Sidro de la Puerta and Mr. Fernando Chueca, This Ministry, in accordance with the aforementioned proposal, has resolved:

1. To award the prize of 23,000 pesetas offered to the preliminary project for the completion of the Church of La Almudena, Madrid, authored by Carlos Sidro de la Puerta and Fernando Chueca

2. That the amount of the same be paid from the appropriation consigned in chapter one, article two, group six, concept 12, number 3. of the current Budget of this Department, the expense of which has been reported by the Accounting Section on the first of February last and by the General Intervention of the State Administration on the 29th of the same month, this amount being paid into the Central Treasury and in the name of the authorised agent of National Competitions, Mr. Andrés Gordillo González,
