Residency project for ten artists at El Pardo

ORDER of 31 December 1960, resolving the National Architecture Competition for that year.

"Hon.

Having regard to the file on the resolution of the National Architecture Award for the current year; and Whereas, by Order of 19 September last, the aforementioned National Competition was announced, the theme of which was a project for a residence for ten artists on the mountain of El Pardo, offering a prize of 15,000 pesetas and a runner-up prize of 8,000 pesetas.As a result, after the corresponding procedure, the Jury, presided over by Mr. Secundino Zuazo Ugalde, with Mr. Luis Moya Blanco and Mr. Pascual Bravo Sanflíu as members, unanimously agreed to propose awarding the announced prize of 15,000 pesetas to the project shown in the exhibition under number 3, authored by Mr. Javier Barroso Ladrón de Guevara and Mr. Angel Orbe, and the runner-up prize of 8,000 pesetas under number 5, by Mr. Fernando Higueras, This Ministry, in view of the above proposal, has had the goodwill to:

1. To approve it in its entirety, awarding the prizes in the form and amount expressed therein.

2. To provide that the amount of these prizes be paid from the appropriation entered in chapter 400, article 410, numbers 416-348, section 2 of the current budget of this Department, the expenditure of which was reported by the Accounting Section on 9 March last and by the Delegate Intervention of the Treasury on 14 of the same month, and the appropriate pay slips were drawn up by the Authorising Officer of this Ministry.
